Paul Maddern was born in Bermuda and now lives in Northern Ireland, where he’s completing a PhD at the Seamus Heaney Centre, Queen’s University Belfast. His Pamphlet, Kelpdings, was a winner in the 2009 UK-based Templar Poetry Prize and is forthcoming later this year. He was included in Incertus (Netherlea Press, 2007) an anthology of seven emerging poets in Northern Ireland, accompanied by commentaries by noted literary figures. Paul was fortunate to be reviewed by the Irish poet Justin Quinn, who teaches at the Charles University.
