Stanka Hrastelj (SLO)

Stanka Hrastelj was born in 1975 in Brežice. She studied Theology at the University of Ljubljana. She published poetry in numerous magazines and on radio, participated in national and international almanachs and anthologies and was often a guest at international literary festivals. In 2001 she was named The Best Young Poet at the Urška festival of young Slovenian authors. She published her poetry collection Nizki toni (Low Tones, 2005) for which she recived The Best Literary Debut at the Slovenian book fair. She was named The Poetry Knight at the Book Days in 2007. In 2009 she published her second book of poetry Gospod, nekaj imamo za vas (Sir, We Have Something For You). She lives and works in Krško.

Dny poezie a vína Valtice 2009 startují ke hvězdám dnes (24. září 2009) ve 20.00 v Tanečním sále valtického zámku. Dorazilo 27 básníků z 27 zemí EU. 10 předních českých režisérů o nich natočí 27 filmových medailonků.

Days of Poetry and Wine Valtice 2009 launch to stars today (september 24th) at 8PM in the Ball-Room of the Chateau Valtice. 27 poets from 27 counries of EU came to the capital of Wine. 10 famous Chzech directors will film them and there come into beeing 27 short documentary films (portrets) about them.
